This was on a yellow Iris in my garden. I have been taking pictures of this insect since April on various plants.
Would anyone be able to identify it?
It is about 7mm long and this is at about x2 on my MPE65, with an R5
1/160 at f11 and flash

Here are a few as a non plant sucker.
Not very sharp. I just cannot get any crispness out of my R5/MPE or the EF100 macro

EF100mm macro sucking on a aphid

I disturbed it and it went and hid under the leaf. MPE about x2

I little later it returned,also x2 MPE

It is feeding, not on the aphid, but on the wasp (Aphidius) parasite larva inside.

Amazing!.
So a pest,Lygocoris rugicollis,
is sucking from a Aphidius wasp larva, a killer of pests, aphids.
The biter bit!
