Cool photo Socrate, but where's the bird?

JK. That's quite the scene. At a quick glance the vehicle looks like a fire truck, which makes the image all the more eye-catching.

Eye pulls kinda strong to that mass of light on the left. Wondering how a crop might play. But, again ... fun pic.

Thanks for the suggestion, Kent. My intent was to have the fire truck as the subject in this photo with the airplane kind of balancing the dark right side. That truck was a monster

Had a jet engine!

I have other images of just the airplane. Here is one.

My take on this is that these kinds of photos are not intended to appear on the cover of Time Magazine or win photo of the year. They are eye candy. They make us oh and ah at the spectacle. People don't go to shows like this to see "a plane" or "a truck". They go for the spectacle; to be entertained. To me, that first photo captures that feeling very well. It packs a punch with two visually captivating images in one.

Dig the individual shot of the truck better than the first one.

Now ... if only SOMEONE knew anything about making composite images. I bet he could make a killer image that trumps the OP ... you know, fun pic.

You are perfectly right, Don. It is all about the spectacle. Actually the best spectacle was the fireworks show at the end of the airshow. Another spectacle fun to shoot. The best fireworks I have ever seen. Very artistic
