new toy for those low angle shots. its called a pod and i bought a cheap gimbal to go with it. i can plunk it down anywhere and just start shooting. much more convenient than a splayed out tripod. anyway, tried it out despite the rain, but it was great for a trial run.

Does it float

Those are nice tools for the low angle shooting, nice wide base kinda floats along on sand, grass, dirt and looks like concrete too. That is quite a rig you have, which monitor is that? Looks like it all works great, time to turn the lights on now and get rid of the rain and overcast.

I've considered adding a monitor up high like that. Then one needs a set of arms like a TV camera has with focus and zoom on them. Add a remote trigger and you can back in total comfort.

The results look great. I don't see rain in the photos. Looks like happy wood ducks.
