Hi All,

Fisherman, actually woman, on the rocks. Lucky timing on my part for which I got soaked. I am not entirely happy with the processing on this one, so I will keep playing with it.

Oh my, I'm not sure what you don't like, but I think the processing is great. Then you have that wonderful action of the water, and the perfect silo of the person framed perfectly by the water. This seems like about as perfect of a photo as you can get!

a super shot. great sea action with the lone woman. lovely.
true, the sky is bland, but you don't want to distract from the sea. just enjoy it!

I agree with David about the processing. I think you've made a great, very dynamic and unusual image. Sorry you got soaked, but in my opinion it was worth it (unless you ruined a camera).

Thank you very much, Tom! The sky is what was bothering me, it was nothing but an orange haze.

Thanks Brent! Luckily the camera survived, one of the benefits of being Weather Resistant. The water is actually emerging from a blowhole and the next shot shows nothing but a shower of water which got all soaked me and everything I had.

Fantastic shot, worth the soaking IMHO. In general I like the processing, but might brighten up the central splash area a bit. I don't mind the blacks, esp. in the bottom, which helps focus on the central action.

My immediate question is did you hand hold this for the splash motion?
I think it is extremely well done. Just enough sky....the rest is magic!!
