Going back to January 2019 to be exact - I bought a mirrorless camera that has a silent electronic shutter several weeks prior. And I became trigger happy on that trip. Recently, I went through those images and ended up deleting over 12K images but at the same time, I encountered a few that were worth editing in addition to what I already did shortly after the trip.

Although I used an adapted lens on that trip but the largish size of cranes and geese, it didn’t have any issues with AF. Since I have been going to Bosque quite a bit and have accumulated a fair number of keepers, I experimented with some slow shutter speed setting to convey movement actions to get some different looks. But the slow shutter speed, resulted in significantly higher blurry images although the ones that were in “sync” look nicely different. This set consists of images taken with slow and “regular” shutter speed.

Wonderful set Joshua, you captured the essence of Bosque. Never get tired of seeing images from Bosque. Image #7, that pond is completely dry so that is an image to savor.

Thank you very much, Louie! I know that Bosque is also a favorite location that you frequent quite a bit. Too bad, so far, we have not been able to coordinate our trip there. That crane pool is dry now, huh…

These are all excellent Joshua. I'm a huge fan of blurs and I agree that you need to play the numbers game to get the best results and it's well worth doing. If you do it a lot you can predict the results.

Nice work on these, Joshua. As said above, BdA is a special place and you captured that very well. 2023 is our year to go back there, hope the water cooperates.

that's about 5yrs of shooting for me!

Some nice results dragging the shutter speed Joshua. I do like the Cranes 'dropping in' almost looks like there isn't room for more

#6 is a very nice triple play, #7 is downright beautiful buddy.
HaHa, Kung Fu kick in the face is sweet!!

Yes, I did and I am not 100% through yet. It is a tedious process going through so many files…

. You can easily get so many images using the noiseless electronic shutter. Don’t get me wrong, I had a good time doing that while out there hence I went overboard on that trip. Just what had to be done afterwards was overwhelming

12K? I can relate to that after I first got the 200-600 and confused as hell with all pictures being fuzzy. I remember Arash and probably you @AGeoJO first introduced me to the dreaded heatwave effect on telephot lens.

I digress, this is a beautiful set!
