Amazon Basics high capacity / high performance rechargeables used to be the best deal going because they were literally rebranded Panasonic Eneloop Pro's made in Japan for half the price. They have since switched to a much cheaper version that does not perform nearly as well and has a lower capacity, so I am back to buying Eneloop Pros.
I also tried some cheap EBL rechargeables and they are junk - no surprise to see them in dead last in the above testing.
For applications I don't really care about, I use Amazon Basics or Kirkland regular AA / AAA non-rechargables.

A while back I bought Eneloops and ended up with blue batts and white batts. Eneloop said they are the same. Blue just indicates Amazon as the seller.

yeah this...that video is sorta outdated now...Amazon Basics for batteries in general (not just rechargeables) they switch OEMs to increase bottom line...so while it is true that at one point Amazon Basics batteries are better value but not anymore IMO.
Same thing with Ikea Ladda...they say it's Eneloop rebranded...again, this was probably true at one point...but I got new Laddas from about a couple of months ago and they are definitely NOT the same as Eneloops at all in terms of longevity and performance.
So I will stick with Eneloop brand.

I've had good luck using Panasonic regular alkaline batteries. Grocery store has them here. The C batteries seemed to outlast Duracell one time.
Eneloop AA used to be lower capacity not sure if that still true. Used to have delkin 2900 mah probably didn't hold a charge as long more mah if you keep on top of it. Used energizer AA rechargeable quite awhile.
