I feel very fortunate to have found this beauty . The Reddish Egret is one of the most rare and habitat restricted herons. These beauties were almost hunted to extinction in the early 1900's for their gorgeous plumage. They are now classified as near threatened.

They are amazing and comical to watch.

You caught all the clastic fishing poses Roberta and each in a great photo yet the multi species image is a wonderful composition and gives us more to look at

The way #3 captures the gait reminds me of a road runner.

You sure caught the classic hunting sequence and what a great location you caught it in. Love it when they make that canopy with their wings. This is always one of my favorite birds when I visit Florida. Excellent work Birdie.
