Strolling through Descanso Gardens with my wife, daughter, and grandson. Spotted this little guy collecting seeds. I had my Sigma 100-400 C tucked in the bag for just such an opportunity so I stopped to grab a few shots.

Love these. I love the purple, yellow and green color combo going on here. I saw 2 of these at the feeder a couple of days ago, first sighting this year.

Thank you John. It was an amazing time of year to be in Southern California. Everything was in bloom, just gorgeous !

Ditto to what John said about the colors. Love 'em. I say it all the time, if you see a goldfinch and it doesn't put a smile on your face, there's no hope. The pictures put a smile on my face.
