While out scouting some gravel area I saw a Killdeer get up and walk away, a normal distraction they do if they want you lure you away from a nest or young ones. So I cautiously walked toward the spot watching to make sure I didn't step on any well hidden eggs. Yup, I found 4 eggs and now have a nest to monitor hoping to catch the little ones hatch out.
These were taken on two different days, harsh light and very heavy overcast, now I need to find some morning sweet light  . Mom is getting a little used to me showing up in the car, slowly getting out and sitting on the ground against the car. If I spoof her off the nest I leave for a little drive and circle back and settle in.
