What a beautiful set Joshua. I love woodpeckers but have never seen such a collection of these beautiful birds.Very well taken . I enjoyed them all but really like #3 & #5.

I am a bit late to the party Joshua! These are indeed outstanding compositions! You have brought to light some outstanding creatures one seldom sees outside of a possible book or PBS Series.
It is a pleasure to view them and I almost hear them calling from their posts!

What a spectacular set !
The grooming female in #4 is such a unique photo, the semitransparency of the plumage, the structure of the feather and the light behind the wing are simply amazing,

Incredible set of Photos - i have never seen such vibrant woodpeckers. amazing what's just around the other side of the world isn't it? beautiful!!!

Thank you very much, Mercurysilver! I got lucky being able to capture that moment from the right angle and when the lighting was indeed good for that pose.
