When I've traveled back home to So California, I've always passed by this area along I-10 in Arizona and often wanted to stop and check it out. Needless to say, the traffic is always flowing around 75-80 mph and it may have not been the ideal situation to park and shoot when a wayward 18 wheeler could come barreling down in my direction but mindset was made up and I was going to stop this time around...

I had my traveling buddy with me for her first road trip and was checking me out from the shotgun position and I bet she was wondering WTH this fool was doing but nonetheless, I carried on. As you can tell by some of the graffiti on the rocks, this place has been frequented quite bit and I wasn't the only fool to stop there and partake in nature's wonderment..

I had my C/V 21 3.5 mounted and haven't had the opportunity to shoot with it and wanted to see how the images would turned out. I know it's nothing truly spectacular but I like mentioned before, these rocks just intrigued me...

I think I have noticed that too!
And yes, I would not dare to stop, for the fear of trying to merge back into the freeway

Looks like a fun spot to explore. I wonder if those rocks get spring wildflower blooms?

I’m sure they do bloom there as long as the tramplers don’t impede them, some folks just respect Mother Nature…
