p.1 #1 · p.1 #1 · Godox Multiple Flash Set Up

I want to set up my 2 Godox A200 Pros to fire alternately. I want to get 20 fps flash performance and the Godox fps seems to be 10-12 max. My idea is that if I can set up the flashes to fire alternately instead of silmutaneously I could get the high frame rate I want.

Please note that I an not talking about "multiflash" which usually means stroboscopic shooting. I mean one flash, per frame, running at 20 frames per second.

Does anyone know how to do this? I have the Godox Pro Controller.

I am shooting a Sony system, if that makes any difference.

Godox AD400 Pro Burst rate 100fps. I see no further info, ie, maybe not with a trigger.

AD400Pro specs of 100fps seems unbelievable and illogical.
AD200Pro / AD300Pro no max fps mentioned.

AD600Pro:
The final specs remain unchanged, as compared to the leak. It’s a 28.8v 2600mAh battery (vs 11.1v 8700mAh on the AD600), it has a recycle time of 0.01 to 0.9 seconds, which means at lower power (I’ve been told 1/16th and below) you can shoot a rapid 10 frames per second.

At BnH:
https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1383479-REG/godox_ad600pro_witstro_all_in_one_outdoor.html/overview
Despite these impressive characteristics, it manages to keep recycling times low at 0.01-0.9 seconds for fast and reliable use, and is capable of 12 continuous pops at 1/16 power output.

My guess is 100fps for AD400Pro is a typo, meant to be 10fps. It's not just Amazon, many places stating this spec.

Choderboy, thanks for that info. I think the 100 "FPS" either a typo, or a spec related to stroboscopic shooting.

In any case, still no info on having the flashes fire alternately so that I can get the 20 FPS?

Sounds like maybe the Mask/Alt function is what you want: https://photo.stackexchange.com/questions/89059/what-is-the-godox-alt-mask-feature

Otherwise, you should be able to get 20fps if you dial down the flash power enough. You can add multiple units (or raise ISO, open aperture) to bring your exposure back up to where you want it.

Thank you for sharing! Never knew that such an option existed.
