Of late, I've been thinking about the "telling a story" aspect of photography. Many, including myself, are obsessed with filling the frame and sharpness, but forget to tell a story. Can you really tell a story using photos, in wildlife?

I think you just did tell a story . I would agree that a frame filling portrait as gorgeous as it might be, does not tell us a story .
Adding a environment element and a moment in the subjects life , helps convey a bit of the life and story IMHO.

Thank you .. I am trying to stop thinking about frame-filling, sharpness and simply showing off BIF captures as I have been
doing recently and look at a slightly bigger picture. Not always possible with BIF tho, but, something to try.

Good environmental photos are much harder than most realize.
