The advantage of Godox is that they have a huge lighting ecosystem and the receivers are built in to each light. So you only need to buy a single trigger, or can use some of their lights as commanders, and don’t need to bother buying, carrying around receivers and sync cables, replacing receiver batteries for each light. Obviously this means you’re tied to their system. They do offer cheap manual receivers so you can integrate manual controlled, older lights into their system - if you’re in the US, look up Adorama’s brand Flashpoint - I think a universal R2 receiver set is about $40 for two.
Advantage to PW is that they’re light system “agnostic”, working with legacy strobes. Sync timing for HSS/HS is a bit tricky and you lose the remote power control of the Godox system - you’ll have to walk around to each light and manually change their power.
There’s a new trigger out that controls Godox, Profoto and Paul Buff made by the PW people. Looks promising, but be forewarned it is over $300 for the trigger:
