I need a new trigger system for my Canon Setup. Getting back into it after many years away.
Can't find a lot of feed back regarding PW, but a lot out there about Godox. Which is better? Thanks.

I have owned a set of PW PlusX for a few years and love them. Last year, I wanted to experiment with faster sync, bought a FlexTT6 and have enjoyed the results. The unit can be used with the PlusX and I'd look at their website to confirm compatibility with other units. They work well with my two 5DIV's but do not know about the Canon mirrorless bodies.

The advantage of using the Pocket Wizard family of products is that they play well with a wide variety of photographic equipment.

The Godox "radios" only work with Godox lights.

The advantage of Godox is that they have a huge lighting ecosystem and the receivers are built in to each light. So you only need to buy a single trigger, or can use some of their lights as commanders, and don’t need to bother buying, carrying around receivers and sync cables, replacing receiver batteries for each light. Obviously this means you’re tied to their system. They do offer cheap manual receivers so you can integrate manual controlled, older lights into their system - if you’re in the US, look up Adorama’s brand Flashpoint - I think a universal R2 receiver set is about $40 for two.

Advantage to PW is that they’re light system “agnostic”, working with legacy strobes. Sync timing for HSS/HS is a bit tricky and you lose the remote power control of the Godox system - you’ll have to walk around to each light and manually change their power.

There’s a new trigger out that controls Godox, Profoto and Paul Buff made by the PW people. Looks promising, but be forewarned it is over $300 for the trigger:
