Just kidding
Sincerely now, you did a super job! Video is a real challenge.
Thank you very much for all the information you gave us. Will have to try DaVinci myself in future.
ImHo, the cam did a good job when going behind that vegetation. Did you occasionally have to re-press the AF (Wide Area L?). To my eyes, it looked like it quickly popped in and out occasionally. But that is normal I think.

btw, that is one of the most exciting NWR's in the Eastern U.S.. As I recall, I think USFWS collared and released Red Wolves in there about 20 years ago?

Thank you! I'm pretty sure I was occasionally pumping the focus button. I think I may try out some AF-F instead of AF-C this weekend to see if that is any better/worse. Then again its kind of hard to judge it based on the conditions and distance for the Harrier video at least. I have a bunch of Tundra Swan clips as well that I need to go through, and 1 Kestrel in flight as well.
And yes, ARNWR can be pretty awesome. I didnt see any wolves while I was there this time, but when I got back home I saw where a few people had posted Short Eared Owl sightings that same day I was there. I will probably go back either this weekend or next weekend (I found a Screech Owl out there I want to try to get a better shot of as well )
And you are correct RE: the Red Wolves. For whatever reason, the govt. didnt really do anything the last 5 years or so, and where the population at one point was over 100 wolves, they now believe there are only about 10 left living in the wild out there. HOWEVER, they just recently announced that they will be releasing 9 more wolves here very soon. They are already in the acclimation pens. They are going to be releasing a family of 5 wolves, and then 2 separate pairs as well. They are also putting up more signage in the area, because 5 wolves were hit and killed by cars just last year alone.
I have seen one, almost 2 years ago. I was about 200yds away and lots of heat waves to deal with, but it was still cool at least seeing one.
