Not an easy one to get in flight. BG was calm water which is a blessing but it also confusing! half the time I shot the reflection instead of the bird!

A1 600 f/4 GM + 2X TC (1200mm). ISO-4000 f/8 1/3200 sec handheld. processed with C1P

Great shot, you are right, not an easy one to get in flight ... last time I attempted I had a full flock (300+ birds) flying full speed towards me, only to change direction 30 inches in front of my face/lens ... all I got was a blurry mess

I have never made any keeper out of a flock, I avoid them
