First weekend of Dec I made my second trip to Crater Lake after having my first thwarted by snow, you may have seen those images last week. This time, while more successful in seeing the lake the photography was a bit hard tom come by. The lake during the day was always under bluebird skies and at night was socked in, limiting any astro. Thankfully the second morning provided some nice low hanging clouds in the surrounding valleys to shoot during a sunrise hike. Here are a couple of shots from the lake and one from Davis lake a bit to the north.

While far from the craziest images, hope you enjoy as I slowly get back into landscapes after a couple years out of it.

Nice. That last one makes me think of a Central Oregon lake where we had a family reunion this past summer... though when I was there the wildfire smoke was so bad that no such peaks were visible. I like the panorama of the last one.

Thank you! That smoke is brutal and a bummer no peaks were visible when you were out here in the summer. It sadly makes summer just about a no-go season for getting into the mountains with how bad it has been the last couple summers.
