So far, my only Nikon Z is the Zfc.
TTArtisans:
17mm f/1.4 (Z mount)
Nikon:
20mm f/2.8 Ai-S
28mm f/2.8 Ai-S
50mm f/1.2 Ai-S
85mm f/1.4 Ai-S
I just got a Zhongyi Speedbooster; I alternate that with a K&F plain F-to-Z adapter. I haven't had the speedbooster very long, but it definitely seems to do better with the wider angle lenses; especially the 50mm f/1.2 goes from dreamy wide-open without it to having spherochromatism competing with veiling flare to be the hottest of the messes. Then again, if you consider that a speedbooster gains you a stop of light, it's basically a 40-year-old Nikkor that is super sharp at f/2 but has just the right softness for portraits at f/1.2, pushed another stop with an inexpensive Chinese reverse teleconverter with inconsistent tolerances to f/0.95. I do intend to try this combo for very low light event photography where I think it will lead to some interesting effects.
That said, I wanted it mostly to get most of the crop factor back when used on the Zfc. An additional benefit (at least for me) is that, while it increases the total weight of the setup, it shifts the center of mass back toward the camera body. While this doesn't solve the aesthetic issues of the "long snout" of F lenses on the Zfc, it makes it handle more comfortably, at least in my small hands. Note that I always use the Smallrig grip; with the Speedbooster, it doesn't feel like it wants to "droop" nose-down like it does with a heavier lens like the 50mm f/1.2 + the K&F adapter. This would likely not be near as much of a factor on a camera with a more ergonomic grip like the Z50, but I'll admit that when it comes to the Zfc, I'm willing to suffer for fashion. But the combination of the more balanced mass distribution and the mostly fully-restored angle of view are easily worth the $149, especially considering it also can control the aperture of G-lenses, though those are rendered manual focus on this speedbooster.
I've not done any kind of formal review or optical testing, but considering the value of this speedbooster combined with a lack of reviews for the Z-mount version, I might do some once I can get some decent daylight after work on a weekday.
