I love the Sidekick and having the newer version...it has a rubberized knob for tilt control...awesome. The Arca mount knob for attaching lenses however, is made of metal with relatively uncomfortable ridges. I want to find a neoprene or rubberized tape to put over it. These are standard knobs on lots of Wimberley products (like flash brackets), so...hoping someone else has done this and can advise. There is a product on Ebay that is a 3D printed cover for these knobs, but it's just a hard plastic cover that increases the size of the knob.
I have a product called Lizardskin that I tried on my hockey sticks...I could cut and glue, but...there may be something better.
Thanks all!

Solved! Took a leftover piece of Lenscoat...cut it to size...sewed it together with dental floss (stuff is strong as ****). Stretched it over the knob. Perfect! Now...I'll see if it lasts. I think it will.

I would look into polly plastics - the hot water moldable type. I believe you can get it in black too - then you couls glue some grip band to it - might be difficult to make it stay in place
Other option could be the Rubberized Dip Coating from RUST-OLEUM or Plastic-Dip - you can get it in spray on dip-in liquid - will be a bit challenging to apply I recon
Flex-seal - that's another, but be sure to test in similar material first
