I posted this image in a thread that told the story of getting this photo and it did not get traction. This is my favorite image from the set and I'm wondering what people think of it.

Since this is not really a critique forum, I think most members, like myself, simply choose to say nothing when there's nothing good to say. Frankly, I'm surprised that you would even ask when all the problems with this photo should be clearly obvious to someone with your expertise and experience. But since you did ask; the clipped wings, the blur, the excessive clutter in all the wrong spots, particularly where the branch intersects with the rodents head, the distracting framing, all overshadow some nice color and subject matter and result in a delete for me. I think the better question would be; What makes this photo your favorite ? That's all that matters, really.

Sometimes I get caught in the moment lousing sight of the aesthetics. The only way I'm able to break away from this is to wait longer before evaluating and this is a good reminder to do so.
