Got this frame during an evening walk, random bird just passed and I managed a couple of fames as it flew across the field. this is one of them

A1 600 f/4 GM + 2X TC (1200mm) f/8 1/4000sec ISO-2000. handheld processed with C1P. hope you like it

I am new here. Just saw your amazing picture. Please allow me to ask a question: How do your grade Sony 600mm f4 lens coupled with 2X TC with respect to focus speed? Was it still instant? Any other advices? Please share your experience. Thanks

Hi there, thanks for your comments

The AF speed and precision of the 600 f/4 hardly changes with the 2X on my A1. (same with A9 II). For a shot like this it comes down more to the ability of the camera body to hold focus on the BIF and not locking on the BG, the A1 performs flawlessly in this regard.
