I would just keep this camera since it's a new camera, box is really not a big deal, we use the camera to shoot and a lot of people just throw the box away. I don't think it will affect the resale value since you have the box, even if you don't have the box under same condition it will not even be a $50 difference when resale.

Exactly what I decided to do and did. You are right. For 3k I want everything perfect. Went to the Best Buy close to me and returned it. They ordered another one and gave me free overnight shipping to my front door. Will have it Monday.
