In my testing of Tamron 35-150 alongside Sony 70-200 GM II, using 5500K lighting and WB set to 5500K, I saw a warm yellowish-orangy color cast produced by the Tamron, vs the cold white of the Sony. Thus, yes there is a color cast but it didn't look green to me.
In general, the colors may be influenced by more than WB. There are different color profiles, in camera and in the different applications that can be used for processing from the raw files. I expect that the default camera profiles in different apps can produce different colors. Needless to say, any discussion of colors must assume that we use calibrated monitors/displays. If not, the colors can be totally unpredictable.
Going back to the color (camera) profiles in different apps, in the one that I am using, DxO PL6, there are two A1 profiles (neutral and normal), plus a hundred of differen profiles emulating other camera systems (Leica, Canon, Fuji, etc.). The resulting colors can look dramatically different when using the different profiles.
Without additional information, it is difficult to know what might be responsible for the green color cast mentioned in the previous post.
If sharing the raw file(s) is an option, I can look at whether the image(s) would look greenish on my calibrated BenQ monitor, in DxO PL6....Show more →
When shooting people, I always prefer the GM 70-200mm II as it yields more neutral skin tones on the A1 with Auto White balance (RAW). A couple weeks ago, I shot an event (volunteer) with the 35-150mm and had to make some real color adjustments in PP (taking out reds/yellows)... no big deal, however as it only took a minute, or so, then applied to 450 shots. Next time, I'll take my Color Passport. I gotta say, the Tamron 35-150mm has got to be the best event lens ever sold! If I was a professional event photographer, I think that this lens plus a fast wide-angle would be all I would ever need.
