Hello these were taken in the last 2-3 weeks, I was able to get close with long class without phasing the nest activity, creating a tight crop. I was watching the male returning to the nest with a Flounder carcass, after the male had his big portion. I notice the seagull in the background, not paying attention to him, and all of sudden he was in the tight frame, the sequence shows the outcome. The male couldn't return to the nest empty handed, or he would be in trouble with the female, and returned with plan B.
I have returned to the nest and the chicks have fledged, a few photos of the young ones. There were originally three, but one of them fell out the nest, but rescued by PAWS, which I haven't heard of his fate.
Enjoy,
Chris S.
