The glossy ibis blasted off from it's hiding place in tall grass alongside the trail around the south pond at the Marine Nature Study Area in Oceanside, NY. I hoped it would turn and fly someplace I could find it and as luck would have it it did. The new challenge was a lot of heat shimmy on this hot day in the New York Metro Area. Then along came some snowy egrets to add a nice exposure challenge to the situation.
