I went to photograph the sunrise in a new spot for me near Boston, and had already packed up my tripod and camera. But then I saw the sun rising under the tree and realized I had a good opportunity to capture an entry for this week's competition. Kind of obvious, I suppose, but here is the light and the dark together from a nice summer morning in Winthrop, Massachusetts.
