For some reason, we always run into each other, no matter which park I go to. These tiny, but fierce little birds are beautiful and not shy to check you out and insist you leave the territory asap.

In a sunflower patch (Nikon z6ii + Sigma 500mm f/4 Sports)

Keeping an eye on the intruders (us) he eventually chased away (Nikon z7II + Sigma 500mm f/4 Sports)

Indeed - that was lucky the bunting decided to chase us away by flitting from 1 sunflower to another

Nice shots. My favorite is the first with the deep blue/yellow contrast.

Beautiful bird, color and lighting! I’m drawn to the course texture of the sunflower heads in images 2 and 3.

Excellent work and nature interpretation. I am so impressed when someone observes what is happening in the field and then leaves us a short explanation. That’s where it’s at!

Kudos, Anil-- those first few would really make suitable prints IMHO!

The composition of the second image with the indigo in the sunflower field I find especially compelling. And gorgeous light.
