Rayqual adapters are designed to be precisely the right thickness to keep the hard infinity at the right position (it's one of their design goals) so those are typically the most accurate adapters I've found. Additionally they are very well built, with baffles and they are pretty light overall.

The downside is that some camera+lens combinations might not reach optimal infinity with the Rayqual adapter and then you need alternative adapters. I have a couple of lenses that benefit from a thinner adapter and then I usually use my CV adapters that are slightly thinner but not too much.

Sadly wide angle lenses, are quite sensitive on differences on flange distance, 70cm to infinite are 1,2mm less than 1/16in.
My best adapter, with most correct flange distance, on e-mount was a Kipon that matched always my m mount cameras.
Now on SL2S M adapter L, is an hair shorter so on wide angles you can go a little more past infinity on hard stop. TT artisan M-L adapter i bought before was longer with infinity at hard stop, but i suspect it have more tolerance in machining than the Leica made one.

A nice solution, if your adapter have the right design,

Easier solution is to use a macro adapter: move the focus ring to the infinity hard stop and use the helicoid to put focus exactly at infinity — as long as you don’t adjust the helicoid, you now have a perfect length adapter. The advantage here is the adapter can accommodate all variables, including temperature.

I finally got around to check my CV Ultron II Asph VM lens with 1 of my 2 TTartisan Leica M to Sony FE 6 Bit Adapters and both of my Novoflex Leica M to Sony FE adapters. As a background, since I had so many M-mount lenses and Leica M to Sony FE mount Adapters (2 Novoflex and 1 Hawk's Factory V5 Helicoid at the time), Kolari Vision adjusted focus for my UT Sensor modified camera to one of their standard settings for M-lenses and M-mount lenses. As I recall, the camera was adjusted to make sure that my M-mount lenses would be able to focus to infinity regardless of my adapter.

So, below are my quick findings. Looking out my rear kitchen sliding door at trees the furthest away that I could see (hundreds of feet away, but not infinity) both Novoflex adapters focused at maximum magnification for the camera at about or a little beyond 5 m which is beyond 10 feet on the lens scale, but not at the hard infinity stop. The one tested at this time TTartistan Leica M to Sony FE 6 Bit adapter read for the same trees about 2 meters or about 7 feet. So, there is no question that the TTartisan adapter is much thinner than the 2 Novoflex Adapters causing such erroneous readings on the lens distance scale.

Based upon the lens scales when using my Novoflex adapters, I suspect that the lens is OK especially since Kolari Vision made the general adjustment to the camera to be able to focus any of my lenses with any of my M-mount lenses to be able to focus to infinity.

About this lens, original vented hood, LH-4N .

Has it the screw for filter like LH-6 ?
If the answer is Yes can i know the diameter ?

You use the filter threads to screw in the hood, so it is 39mm.

If you are asking if the hood has filter threads, the rectangular hood that I got with the lens does not. I am not sure about alternative hoods.

I use the original LH-4N with the CV 28/2 II. The hood itself does not have threads but the lens with a 39mm filter accepts the hood.

Both the Voigtlander hoods that fit this lens are bayonet mount. With both hoods, filters screw directly onto the lens, not the hood.

Edit: Fred beat me to it

Hi Fred,

Thank you. No we don't live in Rome or Italy. We were there for just shy of a month in March and I took about 2,000 images. So I am still slowly going through them as I am posting one from that trip every other day. So, they will be posted for quite sometime.

I have been back home in Pennyslvania since the end of March and occassionally going out to take images and mixing them with some that I had and will continued to take them in my Kitchen Home Studio of close-up work with my Adaptalux Studio when I get new subject matter. The Adaptalux Studio will be taken out into the field on occasion.

I will also be using my Sony bodies with my Cambo Actus Mini B more often and will have a new 20mm shift lens from Laowa in the Canon EF mount delivered for that system next week. I can also get an EF to Sony FE mount adapter so that if I so desire, I will be able to use the lens directly on my Sony bodies.

I'm Italian and that's my dream. Like you, I would love to spend at least one month in Italy every year. My wife and family are starting to warm up to the idea.

OK, I'm not Italian but my wife and I are seriously contemplating a month in Italy to escape the Minnesota winters . . .

Well I am Italian, and have dual citizenship. My Wife and I usually take two or three trips a year to Italy. We are currently shopping for a home in Florence for extended stays. It has to be in the right neighborhood, and suitable for my children, and grandchildren (all are Italian citizens too), and her Mother to visit us often.

My Wife was just there for 2 1/2 weeks attending Italian Language school. All my Ex Wives got Italian Citizenship through me. That kind of irks her as you all will understand. But since that time they changed the rules. It is no longer easy. It is much easier and faster to get citizenship now if she would bear me a child. Since that is not happening for me at 70 years old she is taking an alternative route. This requires her to pass an Italian Language Test given by the Government. She is studying hard. But to me it looks like she may be able to have a child and raise it faster. (Don't tell her I said that!).

We are planning to start spending 3 or 4 Months a year in Italy when I begin dialing down my work obligations over the next few years. It is also a quick and easy trip down to East Africa (my third home) from Italy.

Like the rest of you, I love spending time in Italy. Now I just have to get through two more surgeries before I can travel again. One surgery is tomorrow, the final one in December I am hoping.

In bocca al lupo !

Ok back in topic i exchangend a copy of 25mm Biogon whith this 28mm lens. It vignette a lot.
Then bought LH4n hood.
I asked about original bayonet hood cause the old original one for Nokton Classic 35/40mm it is bayonet mount but got screw thread on top, it is very handy.
Could be i can glue or solder a step up to male the trick.
