I enjoyed time out shooting yesterday morning. Here are some photos I got.
I was experimenting with a hacked EF to RF adapter and RF 1.4. The combo worked great. I was also impressed with the results from stacking EF and RF 1.4's.

Beautiful and impressive images, Jason! So, the actual effective FL is actually approximately 1000mm then?

My God... the detail in the feathers.... Is this due to the benefit of in body stabilization in modern mirror-less systems?

One quick question. do you have to use any adapter with the R5, 500 mm ver 2 and the RF 1.4x?

Thank you. The detail in the feathers is likely a result of the sensor size and how close I was to the bird. I actually softened the feathers on the 2nd image as I thought they appeared over-sharpened.

Yes, an adapter is required for this. I modified an aftermarket adapter with my rotary tool so that it would fit on the RF TC. I had to remove a lot of material until it would fit.
