Yellow and Japanese Beetles! Some very fine work here Birdie!
Douglas
Thanks so much Douglas. I think these are ladybugs. If my understanding is correct, , which it may not be, the Japanese / Asian beetles have a very distinct “M” shaped white spot .
See below for differences between them

Great variety, as usual, Birdie. Damselflies are a regular part of Dragonflies' diets.
Interesting video with lame comedy remarks:

Thanks Tony . I have actually seen a damsel eat another damsel as well as a dragon eat another dragon. Appreciate the video as well. I found some of his commentary humorous

Wonderful views into a macro world I'm too focused on birds to properly appreciate! Bravo!
I went from macro to birds, but still dabble in the small world.

These are a delight to view Roberta. You have been doing this for a very long time. Do you have a good idea what you will see before you put the camera to your eye or do you have to look through it to see the magic you create?
Morris
While I have an idea of what I should see , I still have to look through the viewfinder. When so close to subject, with such a limited depth of field , the view through the viewfinder is like magic to me. Everything but the subject seems to blur to just color . You see detail that the naked eye, well this naked eye , just does not see or register. Sounds corny, but it is a view into an entirely different world. When one of these tiny creatures actually looks right into you at some magnification it is very special.

All are beautiful shots. As I'm partial to odonata, I find your damselfly portraits truly impressive. TFS.
Elvis, thank you so much. I ,too, have a fascination with the odonatas , especially the damsels.

Lovely lighting on your Lady Bug images Birdie.
Damsels all eyes are cool shots!
Quite the colorful spider too
Please tell Douter there are no Japanese Beetles here
Do you guys get the Asian Beetle the one that looks like the Lady Bug? They aren't so nice!
Great set, in your own little world of delight
Karl
Thanks so much Karl. I have seen the Asian Beetle on occasions. You can purchase lady bugs at some of the nurseries, but you have to make sure they are lady bugs and not Asian beetles. Hope all is well.
