Very interesting lens. I’m really curious to see how it works for non-astrophotography (which means environmental portraits etc.).

The size is spectacular again. Perfect for travel photography.

I have never owned a Samyang lens, but this interests me for travel/hiking. The new Sony G and Sigma i haven‘t convinced me yet since I already have the GM which does everything superbly. No rush, will wait for reviews.

I am definitely interested.. just saw it now... I like the ability to maintain infinity focus for astrophotography. I will wait for some real life reviews, but I am glad I saw this thread!

I am interested in this lens. I may sell Sony 24GM and Loxia 25, and buy this to save money.
My main focus in 28-35mm rather than 24mm. But before doing it, I actually need its performance.
To buy this 6 month or year later could save money. Actually I am very happy with Rokinon 35/1.8 FE.

Looking forward to seeing some coma tests on this lens. Especially how it compares to the
Sony 24/1.4
Samyang 24/1.4
Sony 20/1.8

This could be a good travel lens when you might get a chance at some nightscape images.

I am leary of non-Sony (except Zeiss or Voigtlander) offerings. Even some say the new small Sony G lenses are not so good, but that is personal opinion and the Sony reviewers never have a bad thing to say so I discount most of them.

I will be looking for real world use of those new Sony small G lenses, especially the 24.

No, it doesn’t feel like a Zeiss lens in the hand in terms of build quality, but it does have weather sealing and will probably hold up just fine. But what it does have is great autofocus, fantastic optics, and, at 230g, can fit into your bag or even your pocket and never make you regret bringing it along. If you don’t have a G Master budget, the Samyang AF 24mm F1.8 is a pretty fantastic consolation prize.”

It will partner my Samyang 35mm f2.8 and Samyang 75mm f1.8 nicely 😊
Samyang are on a roll with these compact primes. Great performance and pricing.

These stellar results might have me adding this lens for astro work to compliment my Tamron 17-28mm and my Voigtlander 21mm color skopar.
