My daughters and specifically this one got me into photography after I went one time with my wife to the mall. I refused to pay $200 for a cd after I saw the photog with the same Canon 40D that I owned. I convinced my wife to turn a living room in our home into a studio that is now in my garage,lol. Three daughters later and 12 years later we are still shooting, doing a podcast and all 3 of my daughters have been thriving. The marriage has survived all of the business at times when I was shooting weddings(vido/photo) and I am no longer doing as much photography as I would like due to a promotion at my full time job. But I still shoot because I love it and I believe it is very therapeutic even when it gets stressful during these shoots. Thought I would share and so many great memories I have been able to capture and I shoot these images for my unborn grandkids! I know they will be the ones that cherish them the most!

I am still watching tutorials and enjoying learning from others here, the gram, youtube and any way I can keep learning! Thanks for viewing! I am open to CC and I used a 1dxiii, godox ad600 pro with a pl 120 softbox.

Dig 'em, the backstory, journey and the setup.

Of course, you have an unfair advantage ... being Dad, makes it easy to get daughters to smile.

The hidden gem, is the interaction between the girls in the outtakes.

Thanks @rusty! The outtakes are the memories that last forever! Being a dad has brought a pretty amazing network with these 3 but more so an easy way to market my work on social media when I want too. Can't argue there with the advantage.

I especially like the two sisters "spoofing" on their other sister ... including her reaction to their overdramatic display.

Nothing makes me happier as a dad of three girls myself, than to see them in harmony with each other. Image them looking back at this pic, 30, 40, 60 years from now.

It'll be filled with "remember how much dad loved taking our pictures" and "remember how much ... " and "remember ... "

The pics are great, and the time spent together will prove to be even greater.

Nice set, family and story! #2 is my fave. The parabolic you're using will create stronger shadow lines than some other types of modifiers. One way to soften things would be to bring the light closer in and reduce power - but it is a directional modifier so there would be falloff if you get too tight on a full length image. For fun, give it a try and see how you like it. The catchlights will become larger too.

Is that a country club - or gated community? I'm always taking notes on places to shoot in the bay area.

Wow, thanks for the feature and all of the feedback! I need to hire @ftllens to edit too! Beautiful job! So we had one of the best weekends of my life this past weekend celebrating my daughter. Seriously, a very memorable day which was well worth it from the love everyone showed my daughter.

Here is an image from a new friend I hired to shoot her "low pressure" job is how I pitched it to Robert Silver. We were connected by some mutual friends and he did a really good job capturing images of our day.
