@shadow9d9 - for rapidly moving BIF, I've had more success in cropping the full 50MP A1 image. If I shoot in crop mode, clipped wings can be a problem. I prefer the wider FF view for BIF. For static perched birds, shooting in cropped mode is ok.
Clipped wings from BIF also happens with m43 bodies too, thats why the rumored 30+MP m43 sensor in the next-gen OMD body would be welcome for more cropping options. In particular, it would enable more cropping options when using ProCapture (if only Sony would implement ProCapture!).
FYI, bird eye detection on the M1X is similar to the Sony A1 (tho tracking is probably better on the A1). And silent electronic shutter is available on all mirrorless bodies.
EDIT: also, with the 150-400, my default configuration is to use an external 1.4x for 1120mm equivalent at the long-end. When the 1.25x internal extender is added, it gives 1400mm equivalent (but no longer hand-holdable). And on the 200-600, like others, I've found the AF speed to really suffer when using the 2x extender.
