I'm borrowing an M10M with 35mm 1.4 Summilux FLE

My wife offered to help me test it,

I used orange filter and there was little to no processing done.

Not a bad set, all in all. I love the contrast a lot, your compositions are interesting, and I like the general mood in these shots. The lighting in photos 4, 6, 7, and 8 looks flat and to me uninteresting, however I think your lighting has nice depth and is interesting in the rest of the shots. I also find myself wanting just a little more sharpness to the in-focus areas.

thanks

It is all natural light

We started with the bed shots, as my wife wanted some images there for her blog as an author.

The more interesting light is as we moved around the house so I could play a bit more

Those are excellent images of your lovely wife, Dan! You really did well capturing her and the lighting in most of them is just wonderful. I am not sure whether it is more related to the JPG compression here or not but the focus on her closest eye in the first image is a tad off, it seems. The focus of the other images is spot on.

thanks

Here's a larger resolution file of that image, the other eye might be a tad sharper

It was f4.8 here, but it's also manual focus recompose with potential for movement between a series of shots.

I'd aim to focus on nearest eye, but if I've failed I'm still ok with it

I have a lens that tends to focus on the eye furthest from the camera for some reason, and while I'm usually able to compensate for it and correct it before taking the shot, sometimes that closest eye still ends up out of focus on my favorite shots. I personally don't always see that sort of mistake or flaw as something that ruins a portrait though, and in this case it's such a minor flaw that it can be easily forgiven. Always good to strive for improvement though.

I found this a good set to test out your equipment. For me, the photos get interesting at #6 with nice catchlights in both eyes (the coffee cup and book shot, since you didn't number them). #7 & #8 are memorable too. Some very good compositions. The last one seems too dark at the bottom for my taste, at least how my monitor shows it.
Your attractive model did a fine job too.
