I've shot this girl's whole family before but she texted me this weekend wanting images ASAP - as it turned out, for her birthday so she could share with family and friends.
Very straight up flat lighting - but I got a curveball with the silver reflective helium balloons she brought along.
First - they wouldn't remain facing the camera (spinning around) - Tried painter's tape but they still wouldn't behave. I finally beat this by having her hold onto them!
Second - I didn't plan on mirrors showing everything in my studio (and my reflection). I edited out light stands and the more distracting elements...due to the rush and level of work needed to fix everything, I didn't get them all. Lesson learned - use color matching tarps and clean up the studio when shooting big reflecting things!

#3 - I taught her to do this "come hither" pose - I had her cracking up the entire shoot - she had a blast!

In between the laughing we got some good ones...
