Being out in a wildlife sanctuary early in the morning is the biggest prize. If we were able to capture what we came here for, and that time around, were cedar waxwings, that would be the added benefits. Although they were there but they were high up and they didn’t bother to come down to the lower toyon berry bushes for breakfast. So, here are a few other consolation prizes of the morning. I am kidding about them being crappy but that what came to my mind on the way back home

. It was one of those meager days.

They may not have been your intended subjects, but they are so lovely. I enjoyed each and every one. The last two are so special seeing that little one go after it’s meals.

Josh, I like both of your first images, the other are too blurry for my taste.
I believe your flycatcher is a Dark Pewee.
