Agree with Juan about the lower angle as they would be much stronger images IMHO.

Nice set and nice use on the flash.

These are really superb. You employed the flash very well to make the colors stand out without producing garish images as often happens. I agree with you that your elevated position produces a nice surround of water in #1 and #2 that you would not get by lowering the camera to the eye level of the duck. It also is a unique, novel perspective that reveals the beauty of this duck that we don't often see. For example, the elevated camera angle shows off the beautiful mane of feathers forming a semi-circle surrounding the neck. We don't see this same "flattering profile" when the duck is photographed at eye level. Kudos on these images; I enjoyed them a lot

Thank you! I am glad you enjoyed them and I appreciate your take on these photos. Shooting at eye level is recommended for any wildlife but shooting from any other angle works if you know how to keep it clean and isolate your subject from all distracting background elements. Do check out the 6 new images I have just added.
