Great set! Looking forward to your alligator series shot with the same lens setup

The WWL is great. I used it on my previous rig - an Oly E-M10 with the kit 14-42 lens. I retired that rig when I got the r4.

I think the WWL gives VERY good image quality. As good or better than big dome options, while still giving you zoom-through flexibility, plus being able to R&R it in the water.

The problem with the r4 and the WWL is that the WWL was only compatible with the 28-f/2. I like shooting WA, but that setup is pretty limiting. Fortunately, you can crop so much with an r4 image that I have

I LOVE the wwl. I was lucky enough to shoot it for work for great whites and in indonesia, but the lack of zoom through on full frame made me never get it myself. I actually owned the WACP but as soon as i saw sony release the 28-60 and that it was WWL compatible, i sold all my nikon stuff and the wacp.

I'd love an A1, but unfortunately outta my price range for a long while i suspect but at least i believe it works in the a7riv/a9ii housing so someday ill get one

Aww, man! I hate to hear that! I really want to get a WACP. My buddy shoots an a7rIV and an a9 II with the WACP and that seems like the ultimate in WA image quality. But, who knows. Realistically, the 28-60 with the WWL-1 and a CMC for macro will probably work well enough for me to keep that $4500 in my pocket - until I can put it towards an a1.

Do you think the WWL-1 will do as well (in a practical sense) as the WACP? It would be nice to not feel like I need to spend that money for a WACP.

I also wonder how well the 28-60 with a CMC-1 or CMC-2 will do compared to using the 90mm macro lens. Some of the Nauticam marketing makes it sounds like the 28-60+CMC will actually give better image quality than the 90mm thru just a flat port.

I too am new to posting on the forums. I still haven't uploaded any images, but yours are great. Underwater photography is something I'm hoping to try sometime as well. The gear is a little intricate and pricy but we'll see what happens. Was this in Crystal River, FL?
