Just before Christmas, we had a nice day without rain and with lots of sun in the Portland, Oregon area. My daughter and I headed out to the Ridgefield National Wildlife Refuge to see what we could find. At this time of the year, you are only allowed to drive around the refuge and must stay in your car. I brought with me my Nikon 300mm f/4 PF lens with a 1.4 teleconverter and hoped to get some images. I managed to catch this nutria swimming in the water.
