p.1 #1 · p.1 #1 · Apple M1 MBP & Canon Print Studio Pro

I am thinking about changing from my PC to the new Macbook Pro M1 (16gb, 2tb) and am concerned about printing. I have a Pixma Pro-100 that came with Print Studio Pro. I use it as a plugin for Photoshop. I know that Photoshop and Lightroom Classic are still running with Rosetta, but it looks like at least Photoshop will be native shortly as there is a beta version already available. Does anyone use Print Studio Pro with these new macbooks? I don't print a ton, but when I need to I don't want any hassles. Thanks.

The Print Studio Pro installer is not compatible yet with Big Sur.

Has anyone installed 2.2.5? Curious if it runs native on an M1 Mac now? I would also be interested in what others use for printing with their Canon Printers. Print Studio Pro has always done a good job for my limited printing, but I'd be interested in other solutions.

I've just recently started using QImage One with my Canon Pro-1000. I had been using the Canon Professional Print & Layout. There are some features that I like with QImage One over PP&L, although PP&L has one or two UI aspects that I still prefer. Probably the biggest benefit for me in using QImage One is that I can take image files sized at 300 ppi for my desired print size and select 600 dpi output to the Canon Printer. The improvement in print quality is noticeable. Additionally, QImage One provides an option for some print sharpening, and I've found that just a slight bit of sharpening improves the print quality even further.
