My wish is to watching this bird gliding for days. Where in America, I think it is in the South, and when ( the season) I would have the best chance for my dream? Ha! El condor!

I did have the chance to see these birds in Big Sur years ago. But it was pure luck. very short time once. I couldn't do much with it. And it was not at the right spots.
Actually I am dreaming of seeing them over Machu Picchu or in Patagonia. I know these locations and was there once. And dreaming to see these places again with the condors flying.

If you mean that far south, that is the Andean Condor. I saw them frequently during my geology days in Peru. One place well known is the Colca canyon, Arequipa is the closest large city and may run tours there.

I saw one in El Chalten (Argentina) back in January on a cliff feeding a chick that was still too young to fly. I was quite clueless, but a local showed me - look for a "waterfall of poo" on the cliff faces. The viewing distance was very very far. +100yds with no way to get to high ground for a better view. I'm sure the locals/guides know where to go to get a better viewing and it didn't seem like an ultra-rare occurrence when I mentioned it to the rangers there.

Not exactly a pretty bird, but I was over the moon about seeing it

Peru, yes. I have been dreaming about hiking to Manchu picchu. I bet I would see them flying on the hike or even better over Macau Picchu.

Yes I will have Togo back to Argentina. Last time we got to see every place except El Chalten. I would like to watch the Condors gliding over it.
