Took this picture of a whitetail buck out feeding after a fall snowstorm this October. Thinking this may make a decent Christmas card. Thanks for looking.

188mm! What the ....! I can't get within 300 yards of a monster like this. That's a nice buck!
Great job and fantastic shot! I think it would work great for a Christmas card.

Thanks Dave!! This was taken in a natural area park here in Calgary and there is a fairly large herd of whitetail deer that live in this park and surrounding area. This is a popular park, both with photographers and the general public, so they are used to people and are not as timid as deer in other locations. Great park, only a 5 minute drive from where I live. Lots of wildlife/birds there. I've got pictures of deer, muskrat, coyote, mink, beaver, owls, hawks, eagles, swans, pelicans, ducks, etc., from this park. The Bow River runs right through the park, so it draws a large variety of animals and birds. Thanks again.

Thanks Rex, the main reason I went out that day was because of the snow. Love getting wildife shots in the snow. Always adds something special to the picture.

True, the FL is 188mm but the crop factor makes the effective FL closer to 300mm. At any rate, it is an excellent capture, Gordon! The white powder works well enhancing the image.

Thanks!! I was quite pleased with it. The reason I went out that day was because of the snow. I like winter wildlife shots with snow. Always adds something special to the image. Thanks again.
