Wife came running into the house telling e there was a "big bird eating something" out front. Found this young Cooper's Hawk snacking on a small rodent of some kind. I like these mouse/rat catchers better than cats

Thanks all! I appreciate the feedback. I miss getting out and shooting more..hoping that can change sooner than later but I will take what I can get in the mean time

Nice images, but am I the only one here that would identify this Raptor as a Red-tailed Hawk and not a Coopers Hawk?

I agree, this bird is almost certainly is Red Tailed Hawk. Nice pictures (and a great wife!)
