After a dozen plus years at Conowingo I have an abundance of eagle flying by and an over abundance of sitters on the trees.
Yesterday I ventured to Conowingo for my second trip this year. Hopeful for that money shot of an eagle snatching a fish from the water, just when you can see the fish's head and eyes. I have zero of those shots. So I set up low at the boat dock - I am uncomfortable climbing down the rocks.
Alas - no money shots.
But I did get to add to my Juvenile and adult fly by collection.

I'd say it was a great trip. Hope to get back there sometime soon. Are they there all the time or just now?

Generally October to March/April. There are some "summertime" eagles there but it is hit or miss.

I have found the migratory eagles there in November over the years. The seem to start arriving in October and leave in December.

Thank you Morris - till looking for that Money shot snatching a fish where the fish is laeving the water grasped in claws and you can see both the eagle and fish eyes.
