Hi folks, This is a short story about stalking a Great Blue Heron (stalking a stalker) and photographing it from behind a natural blind. I hope you enjoy it, and I welcome your feedback.

Good blastoff image David. Around here one dose not need a blind to photograph a GBH with a long lens.

Thanks, Morris. Same for around here (or most places). But that morning, I was able to get closer because of that blind, and then was able to capture the bird in better lighting. Take care.

Was it a tight crop (?) as together with the higher ISO, it seemed the details were more on the grasses but nevertheless. the flight action speaks louder than the details.
cheers,
gil

Don't think it was a tight crop. The bird wasn't that far away. Agreed, bird could be sharper. Glad you liked the action!

Sweet blast off image, David! The heron seems to be in perfect focus in my monitor.

Pretty shot David. I always like when that semi-circle forms in the reflection.

Same. It may be all about light, but it's also all about timing (or luck).
