p.1 #1 · p.1 #1 · Storm over St Monans zigzagging pier

Not being an engineer, I am not sure how effective the bizarre shape of St Monans' pier is to break waves, but I assume it works. What I am sure of, on the other hand, is that photographically speaking the pier is a truly inspiring work of concrete! 2 seconds, Hasselblad X1D II, Hasselblad 30mm and Formatt-Hitech Firecrest Ultra filters.

Thank you for viewing and commenting, best regards

Fine composition and color exposure in best level.

Most images that I have seen at seashore shows similar feature at similar angle.
This one is no exception, but very unique and mooed, and color skin-tone.

Very nice shot. Seems like based on the geometry of other wave breakers, as long as it's in the way of the waves, just about anything goes.

Thank you very much Tony, glad you liked it! Yes, I figured that the shape was to be as effective as possible with breaking waves - still looks bizarre to me, and very photogenic!

Best regards,
