p.1 #1 · p.1 #1 · Zeta winterscape

The start of the weekend was a record October snowfall in Boston, Logan airport recording 4.2 inches, from the aftereffects of hurricane Zeta. While it won't linger, it did create an early AM Saturday snowscape that made the mundane magical, as I hope these white tail deer pics suggest.

Brrrrrrrrrrr

An early treat with some lovely images as a result. That bit of snow on the deer's nose adds some interest to these lovely images.

I was hoping we would get a touch of snow right at the end of the storm to have our colored leaves with a mix of snow yet that magic did not happen as we got all rain and plenty of it. I feel for our friends that have lost power and I hope not more than that.

A very good set, with the snow adding some nice contrast.

Thanks Morris, Fred and Birdie! Lucky the snow did not result in power losses here. Hope you are back up soon.

Very nice set! I particularly like #2 for the way the warm morning light is just hitting their bodies and their heads are in the cold shadows.
Zeta hit us hard here in upstate SC. We just got our power back on late Saturday night. With no power we have no heat or water so it seemed like it was out for a week.

Thanks Dave, agree the highlights vs shade on snow made all the difference. Glad you're back up power wise!
