p.1 #1 · p.1 #1 · Family horses

I shot some horse pictures for my grandpa the other day. The first image was my favorite of the shoot. Images 2-5 were of my uncle's horse when I was at his house last night. Just starting out shooting animals, so trying to take advantage of all the chances I get.

Nice Andrew, like you I like #1 no fencing in view and a nice blurred back ground. for me it would have been nice if you hadn't cropped off his lower legs. Love the horses my daughter and a few and I loved taking photos of them.

You are off to a nice start Andrew. I agree with Dave. On the first one there is a white patch and I'm not seeing detail there. Try lettings in a little less light to protect the whites and then adjust the mid tones (shadows) to bring them up.

Thank you both for the suggestions! I'm learning there are more things I need to pay attention to when shooting in camera, such as not cutting off the legs as well as paying attention to my histogram. I've noticed when shooting wildlife, I get locked in on the animal and let other things slip by.
