Always look forward to your "this and that's" Birdie. The way the branches appear out of nowhere in #2 and #8 is otherworldly. #4 looks like an illustration, not a photograph, and I mean that in a good way. And a female cardinal never looked better ! Typically wonderful.
Your are much to kind , thank you so much,

Birdie,
Your images are so wonderful; every single one of them. I am impressed with the images of flying insect/butterfly when they approached some flowers; they are very hard to capture. Of course, I am drooling over your hummingbird images; they are simply exquisite. Do you camp out in your backyard there to capture them ?
Joshua
Joshua, appreciate the kind words. I do spend quite of bit of time watching and waiting

A traffic set Roberta yet 4 stopped me in my tracks. Is there a method you use for choosing which body to use?
Morris
Thanks Morris. No real method to my madness. I don’t have the A6400 any longer. I only have the A9and the A7R3.
I generally use the A9 for the hummers. For macro I lean toward the A7r3. However, I did play with using the A9 for macro.

You have such a nice influence on these Birdie.
First image is remarkable on light, texture and color, that is an outstanding image as I see it!
#4 is most unique, never saw one from this angle!! Wow
#5 is my pick followed closely by #7 and #9
A visual treat and thank you!
Karl
Thanks so much Karl. I was doing some macro shots, when the Swallowtail feel overhead. I just kind of aimed up and started shooting.

Another amazing collection birdie! #9 followed closely by #6 are my favorites but all are wonderful.
As for honest feedback that you have requested.
#4 has some visual "tells" and overall just doesn't look natural to me. It's a great image but something just doesn't look right both proportionally and perspective wise. There is also a slight halo type artifact along the butterfly's left antennae and some other areas around the butterfly. And the plant has some faded areas that stand out to my eyes.
Please don't hate me as you know I love your work. Just trying to be helpful and offer honest feedback like you requested.
I know this is a presentation board but I honestly wish more people would be more open to suggestions and feedback like yourself and a few others and also offer more meaningful thoughts when commenting on other peoples images, so long as the OP is welcome to it. Now that I think about it, that's some verbiage I keep forgetting to add to my image post.
I enjoy both sharing images and learning here. It's a never ending journey of learning and growth to me. I have learned so much from all of the helpful members here and it's much appreciated.

Hi Dave, I always want honest criticism. I now see the halo , thanks for seeing it. I did clone out some foliage ,obviously not too well 😀 If someone sees something that looks off, please always let me know. That is how I learn so much from you all. As you said the learning and growing never stops . This has always been a wonderful place to come for help . I truly appreciate someone taking the time to notice and point out the things that need improvement. Thank you Dave !
