Hi Morris,
In situation like that, I used the Hail-Mary technique - point and shoot, hoping some frames will be in focus . Thanks for appreciating some change in the scenery. I still remember you from DPReview long time ago with some flock shots as well.

cheers,
gil

Thanks Birdie. As I started to look into years of unprocessed shots, similar stilts flight behavior I captured some years ago - just denser and longer in-line flight I still need to research that flight behavior.

cheers,
gil

Thanks. I really like your way of looking into the wildlife especially on that Spoonbill and the Hummingbird (what type was that?).
cheers,
gil

Hi Gil,

It has been a long time and it's great to meet up again. I'm posting over there again afar a long time away. I was kidding about which one you focused on.

I am partial to hummingbirds as one of my favorite BIFs (they hover and thus easier to capture with luck). I've been on cheapo birding trips (expiring mileage) in Costa Rica, Ecuador and Panama. Although off season (cheaper), I was able to enjoy some exciting hummingbirds even if the gears I had were entry level. The trainbearer I encountered in Ecuador was I guess the regular one (I am guessing as I only saw one type there and the weather was not good). Just now processing hummingbird shots of yesteryear (about 4-6 years ago) .

cheers,
gil
